EASY INSTALL

Most fixtures are up in under 30 minutes.

Every hardwired fixture ships with its mounting bracket, wire nuts and a printed guide. Plug-in fixtures need nothing but an outlet.

Plug-in pendants, sconces & lamps

1. Unbox and hang or place the fixture.
2. Screw in the bulb (check the max wattage on the socket label).
3. Plug in. Done.

Hardwired pendants & chandeliers

1. Turn off power at the breaker — not just the wall switch.
2. Remove the old fixture and keep the ceiling box screws.
3. Attach the mounting bracket to the ceiling box.
4. Connect wires: black to black (hot), white to white (neutral), green or bare copper to ground. Secure with the included wire nuts.
5. Tuck wires into the box, fit the canopy, adjust the cord or chain length, add bulbs and restore power.

Wall sconces

Same as above, using the wall box. Most sconces are also available as plug-in — look for the cord option on the product page.

Recommended tools

Phillips screwdriver, wire stripper, voltage tester, step ladder. If you're not comfortable with wiring, any licensed electrician can install a fixture in about 30 minutes; typical U.S. cost is $75–$150.

Cord & chain length

Standard guidance: bottom of a dining pendant 30–36 in. above the table; entryway pendants at least 7 ft above the floor; bedside pendants 20–24 in. above the nightstand.
