The Nordic Wood and Iron Hanging Wall Lamp suspends a small wood-and-iron shade from a wall-mounted arm, so the shade hangs free rather than mounting flush. Beside a bed in a Scandinavian-leaning primary bedroom the hanging shade reads almost like a small pendant. Down a hallway between bedrooms it becomes the warmest light in the house at night. The geometry is intentionally informal — the shade swings a degree or two off plumb if you bump it — and that small movement is part of why the piece feels handmade rather than mass-produced.

Cold-rolled iron forms the wall arm and shade frame, powder-coated matte black against fingerprints and humidity. The shade body is turned hardwood with a clear sealed topcoat that brings out the grain. Socket inside the shade accepts a standard E26 bulb wired for 90 to 260 volt AC universal input. Suspension is a short braided cord between arm and shade, fixed at install so the shade hangs at a consistent height. Mounting plate covers a standard junction box. Designed for interior residential walls — hallways, bedrooms, reading nooks.

Sized for small to medium walls — primary bedrooms beside the bed, guest bedrooms, hallways, reading nooks. Mount the arm around 60 inches off the floor for bedside use, or 66 inches in a hallway. The hanging shade needs around 18 inches of clear vertical space below the arm to swing freely. Hardwired only.
